What's the best cream for extra dry skin?

I was out in the sun a lot this summer, and although I didn't peeled or get a burn (I did get a tan), a month later my legs are very dry and the skin looks like a lizard! I have tried using a body scrub and regular lotion, but nothing. I have also used for a few days AMLactin lotion, but nothing. Is there something out there that will help me out. I usually put lotion at night, and if I do it in the morning, needs to be something light. It's too hot down here in FL!What's the best cream for extra dry skin?
Shea butter works really well. What's the best cream for extra dry skin?
cocoa butter, and it works miracles, dont be cheap and get queen helene because that is the cheap cocoa butter, you have to dig deep in the pockets(app. $5) and get palmers, he doesnt steer you wrong. (got rid of the stretch marks on my butt!!
the sun can have negative effect on the skin. protect the skin with all natural skin care product, always make sure to take care expose areas of the skin. all natural way is the best approach to battle dry skin. all you need is a good skin care treatment and moisturizer. also be sure to know your skin type so that you can choose the right product that suits your skin and so that you will be able to avoid irritation. also try to combat stress and have healthy lifestyle by quitting smoking and drinking alcohol for they make the skin dry. for more tips regarding getting rid of dry skin visit http://www.skinsosilky.com
I read this here:

Synalar Cream is used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions.
i completely swear by this because i had the same problem with extremely dry skin. It's so simple, just buy baby oil, and if you dont like the smell of it neutrogena has a good body oil as well. but i personally use baby oil because its cheap and it works. The best time to apply is right after you take a shower and dry off, because you skin will soak it right up. I've never used anything else after trying this. It's really great because it leaves your skin soft and gives it a slight sheen without feeling oily if you do it right after you shower.
you definately have to try AVEENO. It works wonders for me :)~
I swear by Aqua Care lotion for my extra dry skin; it's not something that they sell in the average drugstore, because it is usually distributed by dermatologists (so you know it's good!). However, you can order it online; check out the link in the source box, and be sure to read the rave reviews from happy customers.
Amlactin is very good, and is the same strength as the prescription version, Lac-Hydrin. Are you drinking plenty of water? If you are dehydrated, nothing will help. Also, try applying whatever lotion you choose right after bathing.

Most of all, be sure you are well-hydrated, meaning drink lots of water. One way to tell if you are well-hydrated is pale urine. Dark or concentrated urine is the body's way of conserving water, so drink enough water to keep the urine clear or light-colored.
