Can you use aloe cream on a dog with dry skin?

My dog also has very dry sensitive skin. People sometimes use Omega 3 fatty acid to his food, a fish oil supplment. It is very good for your skin. You can by this stuff at the Petstore and you put a little in his food everyday. My dog is the best he's ever been in seven years because of this stuff. Another thing is also the dog foods. Many of them have wheat, and there is many other things that may make a dog sensitive. Try switching his food to something more expensive. About the aloe, don't do it for many reasons. The main reason is that he may lick it off. Sometimes we give my dog flea ointment and it stops itching for a while for some reason. Sometimes you can't tell if a dog has fleas. Can you use aloe cream on a dog with dry skin?
Try adding a Omega 3 fatty acid to his food, a fish oil supplment. His coat should improve in about a week.

Get a dog food that has no Wheat, corn or soy...that will help also. Can you use aloe cream on a dog with dry skin?
Go to something like a PETCO pet store.

There r all kinds of creams that are specific for animals.
If your dog has VERY dry skin, there's an internal reason...Either the food you're feeding is very cheap, or your dog has an alergy....I wouldn't use aloe cream on your dog because he'll probably lick it off...If you just want to give him relief, try plain ole mineral or vegetable oil...It won't hurt him if he licks it off...But please concider a trip to the vet to rule out alergy, mange, ringworm, etc. etc...
I wouldn't. Dry skin in dogs, from what I've seen, almost always comes from allergies, which have a separate cause/treatement of their own
No most dogs can get rashes and Medical conditions from un supervised acts .
Maddie's right. They do have dog lotions in pet shops, though.

I wouldn't use aloe... but petroleum jelly, Vaseline. I use that for my dog and wrap the area if it's a paw or leg so that way things don't stick to it when s/he lays down or walks, and so that way the ointment doesn't spread all over the place and makes a mess.

I would consult a vet if your dog is biting himself a lot. For wounds, I use neosporin and warm salt water [salt kills bad bacteria, but doesnt harm the antibodies] to clean his boo-boobs, then wrap it with guaze, etc.
depends on why you want to put aloe cream on your dog. is it to treat a skin disorder like dry skin? better not. if you're experimenting with the cream on your dog, just apply a small amount. who knows you might be on to something. tell us the results?
I would be afraid the dog would ingest it ... when he's ';itching'; himself. Call the vet.
yea sure, give it a facial and a manicure while your at it

it's a dog, let it be if it has dry skin let it itch at it and it should go away naturally
