My puppy has really dry skin, is there some sort of cream i can put on her to help?

Its mostly under her legs, her neck and under her tail is quite bad. She scrathes herself quite alot but she does not have fleas!!My puppy has really dry skin, is there some sort of cream i can put on her to help?
The vet could probably prescribe something if it's really bad.

Vegetable oil in their food helps.

How often are you washing her? Definately not more than once every couple of weeks. Washing dries her skin out, too.My puppy has really dry skin, is there some sort of cream i can put on her to help?
go to a pet store and tell them and they will tell you what is the best cream but if that does not work then go see a vet. the vet should give u a cream.

You could try e45 cream to help her not be so dry. If she is sore from it, sudacream help soothe soreness. BUT, you may want to visit your vet as it may be caused by a skin condition which with medication you can control better. My staffie was on preds for his, westies are terrible for having skin conditions too as are a lot of breeds.
I put sudocream on my dog when she has a rash and e45 when she has dry skin, clears up great!
I put oil on my puppy's food and it really helped her dry skin.
Yeah, medicated shampoo made for dry skin. She might have mites. You might want to get her to the vet to be sure it isn't just dry skin. Dry skin happens everywhere not in just certain spots.
The vet suggested a tablespoon of vegetable oil per day to my brother who has a ';full grown'; boxer. It has worked great. You will have to readjust the amount for your puppy though. Too much and it might get the poops!
Take the puppy to the vet. She may have mange mites which can only be treated by a vet. Only a vet can diagnose mange, or some other skin mite.
There are ointments you can get through a vet. My Dachshund had the same problem when he was younger, and we supplemented his diet with cod liver oil capsules, used a nourishing dog shampoo, and brushed him twice daily to coat his skin with his natural oils. He is 10 now, and never had the problem repeat itself. Good luck.
