Don't use anything with mineral oils in them (petroleum, vaseline, baby oils) it hardens skin - not softens it.
Also buy a lufa and use a natural hydrating bath soap.

I like Gold Bond anti itch cremes .
i had the same thing,but it was on my legs.i went to bath and body works and bought some lotion called grin and bare it,
